Fantasy Football Guide Week 5

Super Freak of the Week - - Brian Hartline Brian Hartline turned in the Fantasy performance of the season for a wideout in Week 4. Hartline hauled in a career-best 12 receptions for 253 yards and a touchdown in the 24-21 overtime loss, including an 80-yarder in the fourth quarter which resulted in his lone score of the day. He was targeted a team-high 21 times and averaged 21.2 yards per reception. Hartline entered the contest with just 13 receptions for 202 yards and a score over his first three games of the season. Sy Su's Sleeper: Green Bay Packers WR James Jones With the great Greg Jennings struggling to get over a groin injury, turn to the Aaron Rodgers' most popular target in the end zone this season - no, not Jordy Nelson, not Jermichael Finley or the injured Jennings - but its James Jones with three touchdowns! Last week, Jones caught two of them, stepping into a higher role when Jennings exited the game early. The Packers running game continues to struggle so expect Rodgers, as usual, to throw it early and often and with Jones as the Packers' number 2 receiver (behind Nelson). Not to mention, the Packers match up against a lowly Colts passing defense that's so far faced the turnover-prone Jay Cutler and the youngsters Christian Ponder and Blaine Gabbert. Bailey's Bench em Week 5 Week 5 in this 2012 Fantasy Football year brings some tough running back match ups, such as Fred Jackson & CJ Spiller @San Fransisco & the Carolina running attack facing a tough Seattle D, but my Bench Em this week is Shonn Greene. The Jets just lost Santonio Holmes, arguably the best offensive weapon on New York, which makes Greene the focal point in the Jets offensive now. However, Greene faces the elite Texans Defense, that hasn't allowed a rushing TD this year & except for last week, Houston hasn't allowed more than 69yds to a running back in a game, which includes MJD, McGahee, & Reggie Bush. Greene is relevant this year in fantasy, but this week will prove tough to get that great game fantasy owners have been waiting for from him. Look for another rout if U have Greene in your line up. Nick's Pick Week 5 Well folks I have to apologize for the egg I laid last week picking Dennis Pitta. This is why I love fantasy football though, because you just never know. That being said, My pick for this week is Trent Richardson. He has scored a touchdown in 3 straight weeks, and is going up against a Giants def that gave up over 170 yards on the ground last sunday night . Even if the Browns are down late in the game, expect Richardson to still be involved. He has shown he can catch the ball out of the backfield and make plays when the ball's in his hands.
