Fantasy Football Guide for Week II

Super Freak of the Week
Matt Ryan – Atlanta 23/31/299 3TD’s 2 Rush 25yd 1TD – 31 points Matty Ice had an amazing game responsible for 28 points himself to lead all quarterbacks, much to the chagrin of fantasy pundits who were banking on the ‘Chefs’ D who is normally so stingy at Arrowhead. Ryan outgunned opening day favorites Rodgers and Romo with RG3 surprisingly coming in as the 2nd highest scoring QB.

Beartraps in week 2 –

Calvin Johnson – Detroit Lions – Didn’t practice due to a foot contusion and his status is questionable on top of going up against a very good 49er defense that may prove to be the best in the NFL as the season goes on.

Rober Griffin III
– Relax, don’t start with the hate mail until you hear us out…. Yes he did light it up last week and was the 2nd highest grossing QB on the board but he ran it up indoors, against a Saint Team in disarray, and was the benefactor of two huge YACs for touchdowns. This week he’s going up against a real schemer in Jeff Fisher who will cook up something nasty for the kid and we look for him to struggle. Moreover, Pierre Garcon left the game early last week and his status is still up in the air and with no PG there could be a limit Griffiening’ this weekend.

Sleeper Pick of the Week – CJ Spiller
Fred Jackson is out for a minimum of three weeks with a tough injury and CJ Spiller is going to get the start for the second consecutive week for Buffalo, who is making their home opener against a very suspect Kansas City Chiefs team. Spiller came in off the bench in week one in a big way (unfortunately no one had him starting) with 14 carries for 169 yards and a touch. Fortuity aside, the guy can play, and don’t forget how he closed the final three games of the 2011 campaign with 405 total yards, 4 tds. If you can still pick him up this may be the steal of young season.
